Budget planning
A budget only works if you can see it at the moment you are about to spend. Set a limit per category and the app keeps a running answer to the only question that matters: how much is left, and how many days does it have to cover.
One monthly total tells you nothing until it is too late. Split it: groceries, eating out, transport, subscriptions, household. Each gets its own limit, its own progress bar and its own warning when you are close.

If you have never budgeted, start with the classic split: half your income to needs, a third to wants, a fifth to saving and debt. It will not survive contact with reality in month one, and that is fine. The point of month one is to find out what your real numbers are.
A notification on the last day of the month is a report, not a warning. Alerts fire when a category passes the threshold you set, while there are still days left to change course.
